Audiologist Invercargill and Queenstown: Simon Melville, Senior Audiologist/Director (BSc, M.Aud (Hons), MBA, MNZAS, CCC)
Simon Melville, joined the Audiology South team in 2014 as a senior audiologist. Invercargill, Queenstown and Te Anau branches of Audiology South benefit from his extensive knowledge base. Originally trained in Auckland, Simon ran Bay Audiology in the South Island before entering senior management for the Bay Audiology group, helping expand the proven formula into Australia and Asia. He joined Gordon Mather a former Audiology school classmate and Audiology South’s founder as a Senior Audiologist. Queenstown and Invercargill patients alike benefit from his experience both in NZ and abroad in the UK and Europe. Simon has developed in-depth knowledge in diagnosing and helping to manage hearing loss and tinnitus. He also has expertise in Cochlear Implantation.
Audiologist Dunedin: Anthony Rowcroft, Senior Audiologist/Director (BCom, BA(Hons), M.Aud (Hons), MNZAS,CCC)
Anthony has followed his father and grandfather into Audiology. He previously owned and worked in Dunedin Hearing Clinic, the family business that was established in 1960. After working with Simon Melville at Bay Audiology the two have now combined their skills and experience within the only locally owned and independent Audiology practice in the South. Anthony has been a full member of the New Zealand Audiological Society since 1999 and previously served on several committees within NZAS. As a senior audiologist, Dunedin based Anthony brings a broad knowledge base across all aspects of hearing and hearing aid technology with a particular interest in tinnitus management.
Audiologist Dunedin: Anne McElwain, Senior Audiologist (MB.A, MSc (Audiology & Speech Science), MNZAS-CCC)
Anne has recently joined Audiology South as a Senior Audiologist in the Dunedin clinic. After working with Triton Hearing for the last few years, she is super excited to be back with a locally owned and independent practice. Having grown up in Central Otago, Anne completed a B.A. degree in Psychology from Massey University before starting as a Trainee Audiologist at Dunedin Hospital in 1980. She subsequently gained a Masters degree in Audiology and Speech Science from Purdue University (USA) in 1983. Anne is also a supervisor/ examiner for the NZ Audiological Society.
Anne has worked in many locations around NZ, from Invercargill to Auckland and in between, and has experience working in public hospitals as well as private clinics. She also worked in Bangkok, Thailand for three years and gained experience with cochlear implants during that time. Anne is now well settled on a small lifestyle block in North Taieri!
Heading up our Invercargill Clinic's administration team is our office manager, Kate Cunninghame she is the epitome of efficiency and has a great understanding of hearing loss and hearing instruments
In our Queenstown Clinic our Client Care Manager is our very own British import, Alison Hanrahan. She has resided in Queenstown for the past 9 years and will be able to assist you with any of your hearing/hearing aid needs.
Audiologist Invercargill: Nicholas Muir, Senior Audiologist (BAgg, M.Aud, MNZAS, CCC)
Senior Audiologist, Invercargill based Nicholas Muir (a born and bred Southlander!) trained in Audiology in the late 1990’s and has worked in Otago/Southland and throughout the North Island since he graduated. Nick rejoins Audiology South as a very experienced clinician in all facets of Audiology and works across Winton and Gore satellite clinics. Wearing hearing aids himself, Nick knows first-hand what it takes to make a great hearing aid fitting with all the aftercare and support. Like Simon, Nicholas is a full member of the NZ Audiological Society and is able to offer the widest range of services available, including assistance with funding from all regular third party funders: ACC, Enable NZ, Veterans Affair and WINZ.
Brenda Stuart is the Office Manager in Dunedin and helped Anthony establish the clinic in September 2016. Brenda, our “go-to-girl” offers a wealth of experience in the hearing sector having previously worked at Triton Hearing. Brenda is supported by the lovely Paula Duncan who has recently joined the team in a part-time capacity, coming from Hearing Support Otago.

Catherine Peters and Kay Hughes provide great all-round administrative support and are responsible for the organisation of our ENT clinics.
