Work-related hearing loss? Let us handle your ACC claim
Audiology South can now offer a better, quicker service for ACC claims.
Posted Sunday June 26, 2022
Since 1 June 2022, we can now lodge claims direct with ACC for work-related noise-induced hearing loss, doing away with the need to visit your GP to make the claim. All the paperwork can be handled in-clinic and submitted to ACC by your audiologist.
This new, streamlined process will cut nearly a month off your wait time for treatment, and save you the added cost of a GP consultation. We hope this change improves your access to treatment and reduces service delays.
GPs must still lodge the claim if your hearing loss is caused by a non-work injury, and will still be able to lodge work-related claims if you prefer to use the current process.
Would you like to cut the paperwork, cost and time of your ACC claim? Make an appointment to talk with your friendly, local hearing care professionals.
Phone 0800 547 836 to book an appointment at a clinic near you.
